Originally, I believe, my diagnosis was a Type I SLAP (superior labral anterior-posterior) tear in my right shoulder, which is a a tear in the labrum.
I'll find out more detailed info and maybe see some pics on Thursday at my follow-up, but this is the information mom can remember from what Dr. Safran told her after he dug in.
My SLAP tear was actually maybe a Type III with a flap on the tear. So basically there was an extra piece of something floating around between the bones and stuff. He also repaired some small rotator cuff issues.
